The Salsoteca "Instalation"
Following its successful debut at The Tate, La Clave hosts The Salsoteca - a tribute to Colombia’s mythical vinyl-sharing encounters that have helped give the city of Cali its reputation as home to the world’s most passionate Salsa lovers.
The Salsa industry, which boomed in the 1970s from New York to the streets of Caracas, via Puerto Rico, Cuba, Mexico and Colombia, produced some of the most stylish and
innovative music artwork of the time. Seven London-based Salsa vinyl collectors display this artwork while spinning some of the best Salsa tracks ever recorded.
